Tonight the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded Adam Berry and lyricist Brandon Sawyer a Daytime Emmy Award for their original song, "Happy Little Land of Hoboken." The song appeared in the Penguins of Madagascar episode, "The Hoboken Surprise," and is an ensemble piece with a solo performed by Megan Hilty. |

Today the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 39th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Adam has been nominated for four awards for his work on The Penguins of Madagascar, including one for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC DIRECTION AND COMPOSITION and two for OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL SONG. Overall the show received eight nominations. |

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced nominations today for its 39th Annual Annie Awards recognizing the year’s best in the field of animation. Adam recieved a nomination in the category "Best Music in a Television Production" for his work on Penguins of Madagascar. Overall the show received five nominations, including Best Animated Program.

Neil Patrick Harris returns as the Penguins' sinister nemesis, Dr. Blowhole, in the new Penguins of Madagascar special, "Blowhole Strikes Back," premiering Friday, Sept. 9, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The hour-long special includes 6 original songs (lyrics by Mark McCorckle and Bob Schooley, music by Adam Berry) and features Harris performing four of them.
