White Sun Wins GRAMMY® for Mystic Mirror

On February 5, 2023, the Recording Academy awarded White Sun a GRAMMY® for the album "Mystic Mirror" in the category of Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album. This is the band's second Grammy.

The newest album from White Sun, “Mystic Mirror,” has been nominated for a GRAMMY® in the category of Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album. This is White Sun’s second Grammy nomination. The band (Gurujas, Harijiwan and Adam Berry) was nominated for and subsequently won the Grammy in 2017 for their album “White Sun II.” Mystic Mirror was released on September 23, 2022 and has reached #1 on the iTunes Worldwide chart in five countries including the US.

Adam has scored the latest film from Academy Award winning writer and director, Tom Schulman (Dead Poet’s Society, What About Bob.) Double Down South is a shadowy confidence-game thriller set in the South, and Adam’s moody, blues and bluegrass-infused score highlights both the film's swampy location and the tense, engrossing story.

White Sun Receives Billboard Plaques on the 6th Anniversary of their First Album

'White Sun' by White Sun was released six years ago. Since then the band has released four albums, 100+ tracks and won a Grammy. All of their albums have charted on Billboard, and two albums, White Sun II and White Sun III, have made it to number 1.

Adam is a member of White Sun and producer for the band.

'Good Trouble' Features Music by White Sun

The latest episode of the Freeform/Hulu show 'Good Trouble' features two tracks by White Sun, 'Chattra Chakkra Varti' from their Grammy winning album 'White Sun II' and the instrumental 'White Sun Drums.' The episode, titled 'New Moon', airs on March 31, 2021 at 10pm PST. Both tracks were produced by Adam Berry.

Adam Co-Writes and Produces Song Performed by Jennifer Lewis on Big Hero 6

Jennifer Lewis performs the disco-inspired track 'Stay Strong' on Big Hero 6 episode 'Krei-Oke,' which premieres this month. Lewis voices recurring character Professor Granville but this is her first time lending her diva vocals to the show. The musical episode features seven songs performed by cast members, music by Adam Berry, lyrics by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle.

Kpop stars Nichkhun of 2PM and Jae Park of Day6 guest star on the Big Hero 6 episode 'Big Hero Battle.' The duo performs two original songs on the show, 'Beautiful on the Outside' and '4-2-Sing,' music by Adam Berry, lyrics by Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley.

Adam produced and performed on White Sun's debut album, titled 'White Sun.' The band White Sun was formed in 2015 and is singer/ songwriter Gurujas Khalsa, percussionist and band founder Harijiwan Khalsa, and producer, guitarist and keyboardist Adam Berry. Within hours of the album's pre-release it hit #1 on iTunes' World Music chart.

Adam Receives 8th Emmy Nomination

Nominations for the 40th annual Daytime Emmy awards were announced this morning, and Adam once again recieved a nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition for his work on Penguins of Madagascar. This is his eighth Emmy nomination, having recieved nominations in 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2012 with wins in 2011 and 2012.

Adam Nominated for Four Emmy Awards

Today the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 39th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Adam has been nominated for four awards for his work on The Penguins of Madagascar, including one for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC DIRECTION AND COMPOSITION and two for OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL SONG. Overall the show received eight nominations.

Last night the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded Adam a Daytime Emmy Award for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC DIRECTION AND COMPOSITION for his original music for The Penguins of Madagascar. The program won a total of six Emmy Awards.
